King Nebuchadnezzar

I went to a bible study on Monday night, and we talked about the book of Daniel. The night went a little something like this

First we talked about Daniel and how wonderful his Faithfulness to God was. We talked about because of his unwavering faith God continually poured his favor out on him. Then we preceded to discuss Nebuchadnezzar. I chimed in and gave my two cents, "King Nebuchadnezzar had so many chances to follow God. God was continually revealing His great strength and power to King N. and he would profess how great God was one day and then the next day build a statue of himself made of gold. Yet God continued to reveal himself to King N. in dreams and through the interpretations of Daniel." In my head I was thinky...GEEZ....King Nebby was a flake poor guy wasn't getting the giant wake up call God was sending him! The the Holy Spirit oh so softly whispered in my ear...your looking more and more like King N. I thought "Oh dear Lord....it's true". Sudden conviction came over me. I am king Nebby...go ahead and call me queen Nebuchadnezzara!

The good news is that I now am seeing that God isn't messing around. He doesn't care that I can spew off how faithful Daniel was and how flaky Nebby was. It is taking that story and applying it that He so desperately wants for me in my life. I think he is up in heaven looking down saying Hayley get excited its time to get the nebby out and the danny in. So hopefully in a little while I can blog and tell you that I am starting to look a little bit more like a Danielle rather than a nebuchadnezzara! Oh wait that would be prideful....shoot :) God is good all the time! by the way did I mention I LOVE NANNYING!!!
