I would like to begin this post by stating that I often run into glass doors, trip on carpets, and miss steps that have signs posted above them saying, "Please Watch Your Step"...with that in mind I would like to share with you what happened to me this morning. I got to see Stella for the first time in over a week, basically fireworks flew and she started screaming "Nanny...Nanny", or that is what she would have said had she not been speechless over her excitement of my return. Anyway, I am on the floor cooing and ooing over her and lifting her up and flipping her around when suddenly I go to sit up and my entire neck stiffens and sends shooting pains up towards my ears. I literally have to stop mid sit up due to the pain the weird sensation from my neck up continues until I identify it's source. It was coming from some muscles right underneath my chin. I then precede to go ask Katy if you can pull a muscle under your chin...her first response is laughter due to the odd questions which makes me adore her even more b/c that is exactly how Cody would respond. If I asked my mom that question she would probably say, "No way I pulled the same muscle last week!" So anyway realizing I was actually serious she said you definitely can b/c there are a lot of muscles underneath there, but you are probably just having a cramp and it will subside. Well the pain has subsided, however when I swallow or tilt my head backwards it is still painful like a muscle strain. You know I work out and run so you would think pulling a hamstring, quad, or even my back would make more sense. I could see breaking an arm or spraining a toe, but when my husband asks me why I am not working out today I am going to have to respond with a whopping, "Because Dear I pulled a muscle underneath my chin while sitting up!"
In other news... STELLA IS CRAWLING!!!!! I would like to think that Stella is crawling a little early due to the crawling exercises that I do with her daily (Dusty calls it baby aerobics). Katy also works on her crawling and does the exercises with her. I also demonstrated on a daily basis proper crawling techniques...if there is a nanny cam Dusty and Katy had a bawl watching that one! I got some great video of her crawling today and no that is not "Party Favorites" music going on in the background...

STELLA!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that little munchkin is crawling....so cute.
Oh my....I have so pulled a neck muscle before:)
that is a very cute story about pulling you muscle. Love the way you tell it. I'm sorry you did that though. That has to hurt. Hopefully it will pass soon.
You are such a GREAT nanny. It is so sweet how you do little exercises with her to help her crawl. I bet she would have been screaming "Nanny", if she could talk. I'm sure that's what she was thinking.
Hayley you crack me up with your "Stella posts"....they remind me of my friend Shelly's posts who pops out one baby after another and all she posts about is those little babies! you're gonna be such a good mom one day!
miss you
