Ok...I would like to just go ahead and put this out there that most of you that are reading my blogs are avid blog stalkers. There is no use in denying it and there should be no shame in admitting it. Most of you get bored at work and so you get onto your little blogger and you just start clicking, and before you know it you have been through all your links...all your friends links...and your friends, friends links...You jump for joy when someone posts great news and then when you go to tell your husband/significant other about the news and they ask, "Who the heck is Jane Doe?" You suddenly realize that you have a sick obsession.
So...while I was blog stalking today :) I came across a blog of a friend from a long time ago. I knew her as Annie Majors, but she has since gotten married and is now a Hunt. When I came across her page I was all the sudden filled with a vivid memory of my senior year at Youth Camp. (at least I think it was my senior year...the memory was vivid the time period...not so much) I had come down at the end of service and was completely distraught and emotional (as most youth are at camp) Annie came up and got me and pulled me out to the back to talk and pray. I remember opening up to her about my body image and some problems I was having with throwing up my food. Without a moments hesitation she poured into me. She didn't state me my rights and my wrongs...she didn't give me the "8 simple steps to a better you"... She didn't immediately lay hands on me and start spewing off religious flowery jargon. She sat there and told me her story. She shared her struggles with me and then she prayed with me. She was such a faithful little servant to our youth group and she probably touched so many lives, but God chose her to touch mine. He chose Annie Majors to stand in the gap for me at that moment. I know I probably never said anything to her about it...nor did I think to terribly much about it at that time, but I tell you what as I am journeying on in my walk with the Lord it is such a precious gift when He reminds us of the people he used to bring us where we are today. So Annie if you read this THANK YOU! This reminded me today to NEVER underestimate the power and impact we can have in one's life!
Here are some pics of me and baby Stella (the baby I nanny for those of you that are currently blog stalking I thought I would clarify) going for a walk today
