Yes I know I am crazy b/c I actually enjoy the act of running, so lets just go ahead and get that out there. It's annoying and abnormal, and a lot of people think I am insane, but it's so fun! I ran a 5k race this weekend with my best friend in
OKC. Summer hated running before we met, but I made her like it :) Now she thoroughly enjoys a good run and after this weekend she can officially say that she completed her first race!!! She did amazing. On her first 5k ever she finished 4
th in our age group (20-25) and 20
th overall!!!! She is going to train with me for a half marathon in December. Many people have asked me if I finished in my goal time of 22:30. Unfortunately I didn't, but I wasn't to
disappointed. I ended up placing 1st in my age group and 2
nd female overall. My final time was 23:06. It was nice to hear that others thought the course was pretty hilly and a little rough. All in all it was so fun and
exhilarating. I love the thrill of sprinting for the end and crossing the finish line. It really helps you to understand Hebrews 12:1-2. I always write that on my running bib before I race. It reminds me of who gave me the ability to run and what this race in life is all about. Enjoy the pics

At this point I am pretty much in a dead sprint trying to catch the girl in first place.

My hubby is such a great supporter! He took pictures and cheered me on
