Huddy's Car Cake
Well my nephew is turning 1, and when Cody and I decided to go down for his party I thought to myself that it would be so fun if I could make his birthday cake. When I was emailing my sister Sarah about the party she said something along the lines of "I wish you lived closer so you could make the cake" I promptly emailed her back telling her that I have boxes and the cakes transport well! I was so excited to get to do this for Huddy. After I got some gift ideas for huddy I decided to make the cake centered around something he loves...Matchbox cars. Sarah told me he loves cars so I thought what better cake than a car cake. After getting some ideas from the Internet I came up with this design. The cake is a vanilla/Italian cream cake...all of the icing is buttercream (let me tell you how difficult it was to get it all smooth!!! Fondant would have been the easier way to go, but it wouldn't have tasted as good) I used candies to decorate the rest of it, and then I put matchbox cars on the cake. I had a blast doing it. I hope huddy loves it, but since he is 1 my expectations of his reaction aren't that high :) Enjoy the pics!

If you need a cake for anything let me know :)
