Well first of all I need to begin this post by giving a huge THANK YOU to Aunt Molly and Uncle Bill. Back when I was pregnant I started to look for a dresser that I could redo in an antique white type finish. I thought it would make the perfect changing table, and I have always been a huge fan of that look. Even after the miscarriage I had become so fond of the idea that I searched craigs list every day looking for the PERFECT dresser. When Aunt Molly and Uncle Bill were moving, she called me and asked me if I would like one of their old dressers. She described it to me, and it sounded perfect. I had no idea how perfect until I saw it. With family coming in town for Thanksgiving, I decided that I wanted to start and finish this project before everyone got here. Now I have to say that it is not perfect. I am sure that you can find many flaws in my painting and antiquing, but I LOVE it. I love it b/c it is mine. I love it b/c I put a lot of hard work into it, and achieved something I NEVER thought I could do. I have never thought of myself as being "crafty" or "handy" (when you have a brother and sister like Grant and Sarah who can install walls, crown molding, and create tables out of thin air all in like 2 days...it's not that hard to not feel to crafty/handy... They truly are the two most TALENTED people ever with that stuff!!!) In fact I can't wait for Sarah to look at this b/c I know she will be proud :) So thats it...I am so excited about it...I DID IT!!!!
This is the dresser before
Here is the after!!! I am still working on the hardware for the bottom
two drawers...so that is what those holes are for, the handles.

Good Job Hayley!! I think you did such an awesome job. I don't think I could antique a dresser, that's NOT my area...I will def have to see it in person..
